James 3:17

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. (James 3:17 NIV)

Pure
Peace-loving
Considerate
Submissive
Full of mercy
Good fruit
Impartial
Sincere

These attributes are descriptive of our God and he calls us to his wisdom.  To his kind of thinking.  Let us love each day and walk in step with his spirit and in his love.

Have a great summer !

Psalm 37:4

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 NIV)

When God is our desire , that is when things click.  That's when we sense satisfaction and peace.   Closeness to Christ fills us with joy.   When we desire things and people and achievements instead of God we are never satisfied.

Consider your desires, how can you right that ship today?

Mark 1:35

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1:35 NIV)

Man this is where it's at!  It's such an easy answer to a peaceful, joyful life.   No matter what is going on your life, this time in the morning is essential.  To live day after day without it is to say - my things , my thinking , my ways are good enough.  I'm content with where I'm at.  Solitude Is a gift you give yourself everyday to be energized for the day and make yourself ready and intentional for "god moments" throughout the day.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. (2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV)

His perfect love cast out all fear.  When I sit in His presence I feel renewed and energized.   It's when I don't take the time that life's worries encircle me and I struggle to find peace in anything.

Trust and thankfulness will stand guard of our hearts and minds if we focus in our God and not the problem.  He is so much bigger anyway!!!
