Yesterday our small group studied this scripture. Paul wrote that he had learned to be content in whatever situation he was in. We walked through his life a little bit as realized he had some amazingly high highs and really low lows. If he can eat with the rich in their mansions one day and then be beaten and thrown in jail the next - THAT is being content in ever circumstance. We don't have those kind of extremes, and boy we act pretty entitled when we have "a bad day"! Let us learn - like Paul- to be content! It's not about you!!!
Deuteronomy 6:5-9 "Love the Lord our God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you SIT at home and when you WALK along the road, when you LIE DOWN and when you GET UP. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
