Is Christ the center? 

Are you at a point in your life where you must obey and do his will, even if you die in the act??  Trusting Him to purify your heart all the time not just once in a while???

Sold out, completely his forever and ever? Where ya at????

Let's live this faith out!  Giving our all to our God and not looking back. 

This is our last blog since we take a break for the summer - God bless- enjoy the break and the sunshine!!

Be intentional.  Don't give up.

Galatians 5:13

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. (Galatians 5:13 NIV)

We have been set free not to serve our selfish desires but rather to serve one another in love.  Love is mostly something you do. Choosing to notice one another , to do something kind and spontaneous , to give something away ...and so on!  We actually flourish when our focus is on others instead of ourselves.  We give LIFE to people as we humbly  serve.  Even if you don't feel it, do it anyway!!!!

Psalm 34

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. (Psalm 34:4-6 NIV)

God is always there.  It does take us acknowledging He is there.  The briefest glance His way will bring His presence to your life in a real way.  This recognition is what keeps you spiritually alive.  God wants to be our comforter and at the same time He wants to use you to comfort others as well.  No matter what losses you experience in your life , no one can take this beautiful gift,  the presence of God from you.   

In HIS work!

They were the potters who lived at Netaim and Gederah; they stayed there and worked for the king. (1 Chronicles 4:23 NIV)

Called into the Lords service - as the potters from the old testement.  Because they served the king they were considered royalty.   Do you see the connection?  Sometimes we want to be "the most important" or most "known" among the people and yet if you are called to "make pots" for the king YOU ARE royalty.  

Let us be humble in how we serve like Jesus did.  Go ahead be the potter, find the pocket,  your call and lean into it!!!!

Matthew 10:24

“The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. (Matthew 10:24 NIV)

We need to speak whole truth.   Truth of what it really means to receive Jesus and obey him and live for him.     If we don't, people backslide and flounder for lack of knowledge. 

True salvation is an understanding of our need for a savior and the work he did on the cross.    Counting the costs.  Taking up our cross and following him no matter what he asks of us.   Total surrender.  

1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12 NIV)

What is the "good fight of faith"??

-standing your ground for God

-fight against sin/flesh 

-seek truth 

-share gospel. The good news. 

-love god and others

-building God's kingdom

Live it out.  Understand that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus (Romans) and we want all people to know that truth!!!
