“Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.”

Sometimes we can feel stuck in life.
Things didn't turn out like we expected, made a wrong turn or something happened to you beyond our control. And now you are stuck. It's hard to move on and get back in the game.
The prodigal son felt stuck...he was far away from home, spent all his inheritance, ashamed to go back , but too desperate to stay with the pigs and die .
What choices did he have?
1. Stay in his sin and regret and just die
2. Surrender and go back to his father
and live.
Where are you at this morning?
I know it's hard to let go of the past and move forward but God is enough for each day and His grace covers it all . Let the work of the cross be real in your life today and be free!!! Let's not be overcome by our past of shame and guilt!!
Let's run back to the Father who loves us and let Him restore us!!! And then.... may we learn from the past and stay in the presence of the Father every day.
